This policy explains how Marketplace AI, operated by Dante Limon, handles information when you use the Marketplace AI Chrome extension and related account, backup, AI, and billing services.
Information we handle
- Account and access information: email address, account identity, dealership membership, role, access status, and a randomly generated browser identifier used to register and check authorized access. Authentication credentials are transmitted to our authentication provider; session tokens are stored in your Chrome profile.
- Vehicle inventory: imported vehicle details, listing URLs, VINs where available, prices, mileage, photos and photo links, descriptions, and saved or posted status. These records may include dealership contact details you enter or import.
- Settings: preferences, backup settings, and a personal Gemini API key if you supply one. That key is stored in your Chrome profile and sent to Google to authenticate your Gemini requests.
- Billing and support: subscription and customer identifiers, payment status, and information you provide when contacting support. Stripe handles payment details through its payment services.
- Technical request information: service providers may process IP addresses, timestamps, request metadata, and error logs when delivering authentication, hosting, storage, AI, and payment services.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate users, enforce account and dealership access, import and organize vehicles, prepare listing content, check listing status on supported Facebook selling pages, provide requested AI descriptions and backups, administer subscriptions, respond to support requests, and maintain service security.
Page access is used for supported inventory and listing workflows. Marketplace AI does not use browsing activity for advertising or unrelated profiling. It does not request your Facebook password.
Where information goes
- Supabase: account authentication, dealership access controls, backend functions, and inventory backups, including photo copies when enabled. Authorized administrators can manage dealership users and access.
- Google Gemini: vehicle information and prompt text are sent to Google when you request an AI description. Requests may go directly from the extension using your key or through the dealership service when configured. Google's processing and retention depend on the API service and account terms in use. Review Gemini API terms before submitting confidential information.
- Stripe: checkout, subscription management, and payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Inventory and listing services: CarGurus, DealerSync, vehicle-image hosts, and Facebook receive requests needed for the features you use. Preparing or publishing a listing transfers the selected information to Facebook under its own terms.
We do not sell personal information or use extension data for targeted advertising. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, security, or legal rights. Providers may process information outside your country.
Backups and retention
Saved inventory and preferences remain in your Chrome profile until removed or cleared. Cloud backups are created when you request them or enable automatic backup. Turning automatic backup off stops future automatic runs; it does not delete existing cloud records. The backup interface is designed to retain the latest three snapshots. Photo copies are subject to configured inventory and storage limits.
Account, subscription, and support records are retained as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of account information and cloud backups. Data retained in provider backups or required records may remain until their retention cycles or legal requirements permit deletion. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel a subscription or delete cloud records.
Your choices
You can edit or remove saved inventory, change settings, disable automatic backups, remove your personal Gemini key, sign out, or uninstall the extension. Manage subscription cancellation through the available billing service or contact support. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email dantelimon1019@gmail.com from your registered email address. We may verify your identity before processing a request.
Security
The extension uses HTTPS connections to its configured services and account access checks. No transmission or storage method guarantees absolute security. Protect your computer, Chrome profile, account credentials, and API keys, and avoid entering sensitive customer information into vehicle descriptions or AI prompts.
Children
Marketplace AI is intended for automotive professionals and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Chrome Web Store user data
Use of information received through Chrome extension permissions is limited to providing or improving the extension's stated vehicle-listing features and other uses permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, contact Dante Limon at dantelimon1019@gmail.com.
